What to do in the Shoals

The Shoals have something for everyone. Aside from the attractions, each city’s downtown area is unique and worth browsing.

There are festivals and festivities nearly every weekend from April to December, so be sure to check out the Florence Visitor's Center for their calendar of events!

Something for Everyone

The Shoals has a little something for everyone. If music is your jam, be sure to visit Fame Studios, The Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. You can also head downtown almost any night to hear live music.

If you love the outdoors, the TVA has dozens of hiking trails, areas to bike, fish, picnic, and birdwatch. It is a beautiful outdoor paradise. Including the TVA, there are over 400 trails here for outdoor adventurers.

In 1939, Architect Frank Lloyd Wright built one of his famous homes here in Florence. The home is now a museum that offers tours Monday-Saturday where you can learn about the family, the architecture, and the home's furniture.

Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama and her home has been made into a museum to honor her life and allow others to learn more about her. Her home was build in 1820 and touring the home and grounds will give you the opportunity to step back in time. 

​

Located two miles from our park is the Cypress Creek Canoe  & Kayak Access Area where you can launch your canoes or choose to float the creek to cool off on a warm day!​

We love food! We could have dedicated a full page to the great food in The Shoals! If you're chomping at the bits to try some delicious food, we have you covered! Here we have featured Champy's, famous for their fried chicken! We take fishing very seriously in this area and if you are hooked on fishing, you will find some world class options here! Book a guided tour or jump in your boat and go, you won't be disppointed!
